Mobile Network Operators
Piran Partners has provided global operators with strategic insight into specific vertical MVNO markets as well as enabling them to develop their wholesale commercial, contractual and operating models.
Ethnic MVNO
Piran Partners originated and negotiated the partnership between Lebara Mobile and Vodafone UK. Specifically, we communicated Lebara’s proposition to the UK networks, managed competitive offers, negotiated the heads of terms and negotiated the final contract on Lebara’s behalf. We regularly advise ethnic MVNOs across the globe.
Retailers
Piran Partners completed a major vendor evaluation and selection project for a FTSE100 retailer. At the client’s request, this project has involved the production of one of the most complete and extensive tender documents yet seen in the MVNO enabler arena.
Media
Piran Partners were maintained to grow a major media companies subscriber base and profitability. After performing extensive price benchmarking of a wide array of alternative retail offers; we brainstormed alternative propositions with the client. We programme managed the delivery of selecetd propositons through both existing and new channels.
Machine to Machine (M2M)
Piran Partners has worked on behalf the world’s largest wireless module manufacturer providing market insight and strategic engagement with global MNOs. The engagement enabled our client to develop their strategy and technology roadmap in partnership with MNOs and ultimately led to a joint standardisation approach.
MVNA / MVNE
Piran Partners has structured three MVNA deals in the UK with T-Mobile, Vodafone and Three on behalf of clients. We have also advised numerous clients on the commercial and technical challenges of building a successful aggregation OR enablement business.
TETRA
Piran Partners successfully turned around a major program on behalf of a leading European TETRA public sector mobile operator.
A Japanese household name
Piran Partners was retained by a global investment bank on behalf of a large Japanese corporation, who were considering a $100-£250m acquisition of a company which forms party of the mobile telecommunications industry supply chain.
We were asked to determine, “If this acquisition is a worthwhile investment?”
Telsim, Turkey
JP Morgan and Baker Capital participated in the $4.4b auction of Turkish mobile operator, Telsim, which now forms Vodafone Turkey. Piran Partners was part of the due diligence team advising the JP Morgan and Baker Capital consortium.
